Acroceraunian
ACROCERAU'NIAN, adjective [Gr. a summit, and thunder.]
An epithet applied to certain mountains between Epirus and Illyricum, in the 41st degree of latitude. They project into the Adriatic, and are so termed from being often struck with lightning.
