SABELLIAN, adjective Pertaining to the heresy of Sabellius.
SABELLIAN, noun A follower of Sabellius, a philosopher of Egypt in the third century, who openly taught that there is one person only in the Godhead, and that the Word and Holy Spirit are only virtues, emanations or functions of the Deity.
