CONCEITED, participle passive

1. Conceived; imagined; fancied.

2. Endowed with fancy, or imagination.

3. Entertaining a flattering opinion of ones self; having a vain or too high conception of ones own person or accomplishments; vain.

Followed by of before the object of conceit.

The Athenians were conceited of their own wit, science and politeness.
