NOXIOUS, adjective [Latin from hurt.]
1. Hurtful; harmful; baneful; pernicious; destructive; unwholesome; insalubrious; as noxious air, food, climate; pernicious; corrupting to morals; as noxious practices or examples; noxious haunts of vice.
2. Guilty; criminal.
